Katherine Smail

Katherine's educational background in Human Development and Family Sciences, with a specialization in Family Social Services, clearly demonstrates her dedication to supporting individuals and families. Her commitment to expanding her knowledge in the field, particularly in supporting children and families within a clinical setting, is truly commendable. In addition to her academic pursuits, Katherine brings valuable real-world experience as an undergraduate research assistant and as an after-school counselor in an elementary school. These roles have equipped her with essential insights and skills for working effectively with youth.

We are immensely grateful to have had Katherine on our team during her senior year spring semester while she completed her studies at Northern Illinois University. Katherine highlights her experience teaching the Supporting Families After Loss 9-week course to the community as a key accomplishment.
