The session included guided discussion, reflection, and real-time skill application to help participants practice structuring courageous conversations in a supportive environment. With three couples in attendance (six participants total), the group created meaningful space to explore how communication patterns develop and how parts of ourselves — such as fear of conflict, people-pleasing tendencies, or uncertainty about how to express needs — can sometimes prevent us from sharing openly.
Participants practiced identifying these internal barriers and applying DEAR MAN strategies to communicate more effectively while maintaining connection and mutual respect. The conversation emphasized that healthy communication is not about perfection, but about building awareness and confidence to express needs with clarity and care.
We are grateful for the opportunity to support individuals and couples in strengthening communication skills that foster understanding, emotional safety, and more connected relationships.
